Its staff includes leading physicians, researchers, clinicians and public health professionals.
Through a range of collaborative relationships with health plans and health delivery systems, the DPM faculty designs, implements and analyzes novel approaches to solving some of the nation’s most pressing problems of treatment of disease, prevention and public health, with a focus on activities that lead to significant, concrete change.
Areas of focus include: delivery systems-based research, surveillance and public health research, comparative effectiveness and prevention research, and policy research. In addition, the DPM sponsors teaching programs for medical students and residents that provide training in the types of settings where they will eventually practice.
